I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
